Life, the universe, everything - but mostly crafty stuff!

 A few weeks ago now I posted my first item made for the Craft badge - it was a needle-felted robin. In my book I had written down ideas of what I might do for the other clauses. At the time I had wanted to make some things particularly for the clauses, rather than use things I had already done. This is still the case, as I am not looking to backdate the items to before I had received the book. However, I have realised that making something particularly for this badge is adding to my constantly increasing list of things to do, so I needed to adapt my approach - so that I can see progression, and so that this badge does not become one more PHD (Project Half Done). I have been working on several BOMs (Block of the Month) - I have subscribed to them and the pattern and fabric is sent in the post each month.  It looks like I’ve been missing in action recently. Life has got rather busy of late - not least due to me filling my days by doing things that count towards badges. For example. I’ve been getting out in the garden, planting things I’ve grown from seeds, checking on the plants that I’ve planted out, and talking to the plants as well. Sometimes I stroke the leaves and the stems / trunks of trees. Then there is the Fitness badge, the Runner badge, the Craft badge, - and then let’s add in Chef, Reader, Adventurer, Activist and Fundraiser too. If this were not enough, I thought I’d give the Linguist a go too - I’ve been trying to learn Spanish for quite a few years, and have started several times, with different books. This time I thought I’d try using DuoLingo, and - I have to say I am quite impressed with the app!
